ONLINE RESOURCES FOR FAITH-BASED AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS

There are many resources available at MOST public libraries, university and college libraries, and in print at the Foundation Center Cooperating Collection libraries as well as in print, electronic, and internet sources for prospect research and grant writing. (Click HERE for List of Cooperating Collection Libraries). The materials are extensive and expensive; the following entries should be viewed as “starting points.” Please note that finding funders takes time–be patient and don’t spend a lot of money purchasing books, etc. UNTIL you have been successful!

Do you have the "capacity" to receive State and/or Federal monies? Are you ready for State or Federal funding? Start Here: www.grants.gov and register to receive RFP/CFP notification of State and/or Federal money being released. Although most State and Federal grants cost an "arm-and-a-leg" to hire someone to write, there are many leading grant experts who will charge a small fee up-front and write themselves into a grant. Call for names and phone numbers!

Technology changes daily. PERIOD. So do MANY website addresses and their content. Use these sites as a starting place to find information–BUT please, don’t lose your life in the “Black Hole” of the internet. Always utilize www.google.com when necessary to locate a site or other needed information.

Explanation of RFP/CFP and its’ importance:
RFP = Request for Proposal     and     CFP = Call for Proposal
The government will put these out–usually on the internet weekly and leave open for about a 30-day period with a strictly-followed deadline. . . and guideline. . . You WILL NEED HELP to do the RFP/CFP. If you have capacity and are ready, call Bob for name and phone number of someone who can will be inexpensive help (relatively).
